How to Add the Scout Slack Bot to Your Slack Workspace

You can easily add our Scout Slackbot to your Slack channel by following these steps:

1. Click Here to add the Slackbot to your Slack channel. You will be redirected to Slack to authorize the installation.
2. Now that the bot is in your workspace, you can invite it to any channel by typing /invite @scout in the channel you want to add it to.
3. After adding the bot to your workspace, you will need to email us your Slack Channel ID so that we can enable the bot for your workspace. You can find your Channel ID by selecting the Channel Name within Slack. Scroll to the bottom Channel detail panel to find and copy the Channel ID.
4. You will also need to let us know which mode you would like the bot to be in. We currently have two modes: auto-reply and mention mode. In auto-reply mode, the bot will automatically reply to all messages in the channel that it is added to. In mention mode, it will only reply when mentioned. We can also enable custom modes for you if you would like, just let us know.
